Top 10 Stephenville New Year’s Resolutions Pt. 1

Back to Real Estate News

A common theme of the New Year is setting a goal to resolve by the end of it. As I’m sure many already know, those goals aren’t always the easiest to keep, and sometimes life just gets the better of us. In order to succeed though, you have to try, so here is a list of the top 10 Stephenville New Year’s resolutions.

  1. Get Fit: The start of a New Year is the perfect time to get fit. Many gyms and fitness clubs offer deals and discounts on year-long memberships. Even if you don’t plan to attend year round, use the opportunity to work off all those hefty holiday dinners.
  2. Quit Smoking: According to Time Magazine, quitting is the second most broken New Year’s resolution of all time, and there’s a reason for that. Quitting smoking, or any addiction, takes a physical and mental toll on the body that many are not prepared for, so be sure you’re up to the task before taking this one on.
  3. Learn Something New: Learning is something that a lot of us don’t do enough of these days. After high school or college, a lot of people put up their thinking caps for good. The brain is a muscle, and you have to exercise it to keep it strong, so consider learning a new language or a style of cooking. You’ll be giving your mind a workout and impressing your friends.
  4. Eat Healthier: The holidays are a time of celebration and togetherness, and eating. With those parties comes extra poundage, so the start of a New Year is the perfect time to start that diet you’ve been talking about for so long.
  5. Save Money: Saving money is something that comes pretty hard to some people, especially since we’re on the tail end of a recession. But laying out and sticking to a budget is a resolution to consider for 2013. Who knows, maybe you’ll even save up enough to purchase a new Stephenville home!
