A lot has been said about Texas and the Stephenville area being desirable places to live, but now the proof is coming in droves with the Texas Association of Realtors reporting that counties in the Lone Star state now lead the nation in terms of relocation activity. This makes Texas something of a “domestic migration destination.”
“Data from the Texas Relocation Report shows that the continued growth of the Texas housing market is not a housing bubble but a genuine surge in demand fueled by job and population growth across the state,” said Shad Bogany, chairman of the Texas Association of Realtors. “People are moving, and they’re moving to Texas. Clearly, Texas is a domestic migration destination.”
The Texas Association of Realtor’s Relocation Report based its data off a National Association of Realtors report that found the Lone Star state is No. 1 when it comes to outsiders from different states coming to live here.
Taking a closer look at the data we see that Texas saw a net gain of 9,100 more households moving to the state from other states. While a lot can be said about Texas being a great place to live, filled with wonderful communities and a ideal place to call home, now there is substantial data to back these claims.
It’s not just the Texas Association of Realtors either, as U-Haul commissioned a similar report that found Texas to be the No. 2 growth state for all of 2012.
Honing in on Stephenville
Although much of the hard data in the Texas Association of Realtors report highlights Dallas County and other areas surrounding Stephenville, it’s still a given that Erath County has also experienced much growth so far in 2013.
