Stephenville continues to grow and engage its residents as the Stephenville Economic Development Foundation held its annual membership meeting on Oct. 8 at The N at Hard Way Ranch Event Center, according to a recent piece from the Stephenville Empire Tribune.
“On behalf of our board of directors, I want to invite the community to attend our annual meeting,” said Ron Mullins, STEDCO president, according to the news source. “We’ve had a very active year and want to share these successes with our current members and potential members.”
The event was open to the public with anyone having interest in learning more about economic development throughout Stephenville and the greater Erath County area invited to attend.
According to the news source, the goal of the STEDCO event is and will always be to foster an interactive community where ideas are welcomed and discussed with the end point for all involved being creating a sustainable economy where businesses can grow and residents can enjoy plenty of prosperity and other opportunities.
This should be the goal of every community, and the fact that Stephenville is being proactive about their dedication to these ideals exemplifies why it is such an ideal place to live.
And don’t forget about the delicious food! A meal was provided at the event, by Hard 8 BBQ, one of the area’s most sought-after destinations for meat eaters.
According to the news source, the event also featured a guest speaker. Janie Havel, regional representative in North Texas for the governor’s office of Economic Development and Tourism shared her insight on developing local economies both in Stephenville and elsewhere in Texas.
