The local Stephenville economy could see a boost in the near future as Bruner Motors, a major player in local employment, recently announced the soon-to-be completion of the renovation and expansion of its GM store located in the town.
The renovations beganin 2013 and feature updates to the customer service center at the story, as well as a new 3,000 square foot add on to the parts and repair section. Located at 1515 W. South Loop, Bruner GM is currently in the process of bringing back its full workforce and introducing full operations by the end of September.
“This is an exciting time for everyone. . .our employees, community and particularly our great customers,” said Greg Bruner, general manager. “The extent of this renovation will greatly enhance our customer experience.”
Bruner and Stephenville have been synonymous with each other since 1969 when the Bruner Auto Family opened its first Chevrolet dealership in the town. In the years since, Buick, GMC and Cadillac stores were added with the most recent addition coming in 1989.
Stephenville is not alone as this expansion was the direct result of GM planning to update its facilities across the country, including in the administrative, sales, service and parts departments. These upgrades are planned to improve operations, efficiency and customer experience across the board.
A major player in the Stephenville employment climate, the completion of its renovations will no doubt help boost the local economy and create more job opportunities for those in Stephenville and the greater Erath County area. This development could also bring in more outsiders to the area who plan to settle in Stephenville and buy a new house in the area.
With the North Texas housing market heating up, the conditions are ripe for a new home purchase. Would you like to learn more about your Stephenville real estate opportunities? Contact me today. I’m a licensed real estate professional in the area and would be more than happy to show you around.
