Stephenville Community Celebrates Special Rodeo

Back to Real Estate News

The Stephenville Independent School District is one of the top reasons families gravitate toward Stephenville real estate. The district is ranked among the top 30% Texas districts, and has an impressive record of academic excellence. The school also plays an important role in the community, and many community events center around school functions, often coordinated with the local college, Tarleton University.

This year, the Stephenville Independent School District will host its Special Kids Rodeo, an important community event that allows children with disabilities to enjoy the rodeo culture that’s firmly entrenched in Stephenville’s history. The rodeo will take place on October 30 at the Tarleton Equine Center, located conveniently off College Farm Road.

Events at the rodeo include pole bending, a stick horse barrel race, a goat ribbon relay, a bucking barrel and a farm animal petting zoo. The event is a great way for Stephenville home owners to get to know one another, and is one of many Stephenville events that fosters a strong sense of community. Admission is free, and refreshments are provided at the event.

“Terry Childers was extremely helpful, reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had some bad luck while house hunting but Terry was persistent and never let up. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. If we ever sell or buy again Terry is our only choice.”
