It was recently announced that C. Norman Tinkler has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Brownwood F&M Bank. The bank is a closely held company with headquarters in DeLeon.
Calvin Spindor, CEO of F&M Bank explained a bit about the responsibilities that Tinkler will undertake in his new position. “We are a community oriented, and a lending centered banking institution. The Brownwood – Early location opened in 2010 and is growing. Tinkler will bring community awareness to, and become an asset for, the continued growth of our banking operation in Brown County and our other locations as well.”
Tinkler is a well-seasoned banking professional with 30 years of service under his belt and most recently served as the vice chairman and CEO of Texas Bank in Brownwood. A native of Pecos, Tinkler has called Brownwood home for the past 23 years while leading the path of continued growth for Texas Bank.
Tinkler retired from TexasBank on May 31, 2010 and left an impressive legacy. During his tenure, local involvement and community support was recognized as one of the banks standout qualities. Tinkler stated, “He is getting back into the banking arena because he wants to be able to help people generally, and his friends especially, with their financial needs.” Tinkler believes that his position with F&M bank will be the perfect fit.
