DFW Restaurant Week a Great Way to Inexpensively Experience High-End Cuisine

Back to Real Estate News

Stephenville real estateWhile Erath County homeowners know there are some great eats to be found locally in Stephenville, some times it’s fun to make an escapade to the big cities to the north to take in their sprawling and elegant dining scenes. And if you’re a foodie who loves visiting these metros but knows how expensive big city cuisine can get, that’s exactly where the annual DFW Restaurant Week comes in.

Celebrating some of the best and brightest flavors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, DFW Restaurant Week goes from August 12 to 18, and offers priced-down several-course menus at great area restaurants all week, with some of the proceeds benefitting great charitable causes. Reservations are needed at the participating restaurants, a list of which can be found at dfw.cbslocal.com/dfw-restaurant-week-2013-list/.

Once you have a booking in order, you can look forward to a three-course meal for $35 to $45. If that still sounds steep, remember that it’s for a good cause, with portions of the proceeds going to Fort Worth’s Lena Pope Home and the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas. And also remember that entrees at many of these restaurants could cost you that three-course price alone!

As for what to expect, critics at fortworth.com highly recommend roasted garlic stuffed beef tenderloin at The Stockyards’ Lonesome Dove. Or how about sweet corn gnocchi at Tillman’s Roadhouse? Mouth not watering yet? Lanny’s Alta Cocina Mexicana is said to have some of the best creme brûlée in Texas, and the Mediterranean branzini at Grace should be superb.

Erath County Homeowners and all other food lovers are encouraged to act quickly when it comes to making reservations for DFW Restaurant Week, as these tickets go fast. OpenTable is a great online resource for quickly and efficiently booking reservations.

And if you can’t make it for dinner, a select number of these restaurants also offer prix-fixe lunch menus during DFW Restaurant Week.

“Eric & Jamie Hayden were great to work with. They are very responsive and know the area well. They have a great team around them that made the process of selling very easy. We were out of state during the sale and they went above and beyond to assist in coordinating with us. Definitely recommend!”
