October is synonymous with Halloween in Stephenville and everywhere fun is to be had for the children: from costumes to candy to apple picking and everything in between. The Stephenville Empire – Tribune recently covered one of the more popular seasonal offerings for the town in the annual Glorious Maze and Fall Festival.
For the past three years and continuing this year, parents at the Christian School have come together to put together the maze made of hay for children to run through and enjoy as those hot Texas summer nights make way for cooler Texas fall nights.
“We are going to have so much fun with this carnival,” Sonya Koke, chairperson for the event, told the news source. “There will be booths, games, food, prizes, a cake walk, hay rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting and so much more. There will be something for everyone, all ages. People should bring their whole families out for a great time.”
All the funds accrued from the event will go back to the school, Koke added, as it is a private institution and does not have access to the funds that public schools do. Still, the maze will be open to field trips, birthday parties and other family-friendly activities taking place across Stephenville through October and into the first of November.
Running through the maze will likely work up an appetite in many of the young people and their parents, which is why refreshments will also be provided.
Stephenville is beautiful this time of year and with excitement in the air concerning Halloween and the upcoming holiday season, it’s never been a better time to pursue a Stephenville new home purchase.
