Stephenville real estateIn a ceremony that brought attention and recognition to some of the top state government employees in Texas, Donna F. Kelly was recently honored for 15 years of committed service to Erath County County area homeowners and residents through her work as Erath County Treasurer. The ceremony took place in mid-June in Galveston at the 2013 Conference of the County Investment Academy.

Kelly was among two other county investors who were honored at the formal lunch and gathering. The awards were given out by TAC County Relations Officer Lonnie Hunt, who said that, “These individuals have shown a strong long-term commitment to getting the safest return on the county taxpayer’s dollar.”

Much of what the hard-working Texas government employees honored at the awards were acknowledged for were their dedication to the knowledge and study of The Texas Public Funds Investment Act, and their ability to use this tool to most positively affect their local communities and constituents, which in Kelly’s case happens to be Erath County homeowners and residents.

The Texas Association of Counties has been working since 1992 to give the proper education needed to county investors so that they might best service the public. For each investor, this requires 15 hours of training every year in order to stay on as a member. The program was formerly called County Investment Officer training.

The Texas Association of Counties is also a nonprofit organization that has been in existence for 40 years and their ceremonies happen twice a year with the annual June incarnation in which Kelly was recognized this year, as well as a November event known as the Texas Public Funds Investment Conference.

Erath County and Stephenville homeowners are fortunate to be served by such dedicated state government officials as Kelly, who stands as just one of the shining stars in this community of high-achieving and community minded individuals.

Erath County homeowners know why this is such as great place to call home. If you’re interested in becoming an Erath County homeowner, or would like to hear about available Stephenville homes for sale, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
